Without doubt deep relaxation is a perfect starting point for meditation. Deep relaxation helps you to reach the quiet state that is necessary for actual meditation. You will often experience meditation and relaxation alternating. But that does not mean that you will always know what state you are in. Meditation is beyond physical understanding and can even take place while you think you are asleep. And some times the other way round! :-)) Meditation musicMusic has always been used for meditation, sacred ceremonies, religious rites etc. Here I'd like to focus on a more general approach to meditation. One that is acceptable to most subscribers to this course. As is the case with deep relaxation, the right choice of music can help you to approach a meditative state. Of course, for that you want music that expresses or awakens such universal qualities as peace, love, faith, light, eternity, unity... Many people find that Blue Flame is a perfect background for meditation. Listen to samples from the two long tracks here. Meditation through musicThere are at least two kinds of music meditation. I will call one of them soaring and the other focusing. Since meditation is beyond physical reality, it is not possible to describe exactly what you should do, or how you will experience it. But I hope that you get the idea, and can take it further from there. With either kind, you should make sure you won't be disturbed in any way, and stay in meditation for at least 20 minutes. Soaring meditation Here music becomes your flying carpet so to speak. You let the music carry you away, away from your surroundings, away from your thoughts and feelings. Focusing meditation This approach is exactly opposite to the previous - but eventually it will lead you to the same place! The key here is to become very aware of every single sound and sensation you experience. Be very aware but without creating strain. Don't struggle - just open your senses completely. Listen deeply to each tone you hear. Let each vibration resonate within you. Through awareness, become one with every tone and every overtone, with every movement and every detail in the music. Feel and sense everything, but think nothing. Just be. When you do it totally, there is no longer any separation between you and the music or anything else. You are one. That's true meditation. The 5 Minute Drill with background musicIf 20 minutes or more is too much, this might be a great alternative. Find yourself a quiet place where you know you will not be disturbed. No phones, no computer, no kids, no phone, no TV. If necessary put on slow, soothing and relaxing music. For the next 5 minutes… Just feel. While this may seem silly, or difficult, at first… keep practicing – every day. The above is brought to you by Troy White of Fresh Idea Company (a very creative and supportive marketer by the way!). * * * If you do any of this on regular basis, your life will start changing, your whole world will start changing. You will gradually become who you really are. You will probably experience your life improving in many ways.
